Congrats! That's a wrap on the 2024-25 season. It has been an honor coaching a great group of wrestlers at Prodigy this season. Seeing the success from their hard work is always a great thing and it also hurts when goals aren't reached. Both can be learned from to go into next season. Congratulations to our 7 OAC Grade School State placers, led by our state finalists Tytus Frahm (D2, 65, Springboro) and David Arens (D3, 65, Monroe). These two wrestlers put the time and hard work in. What a great weekend for both of these wrestlers as they battled to get to the finals! On a side note, this was the first time David Arens has ever placed at the state tournament, and he made it count with his runner-up finish! Prodigy also had strong finishes by Kolton Ross (D4, 95, Mason) taking 4th, Jackson Burton (D2, 65, Lakota East) earning 6th, Davide Keirn (D4, 110, Carroll) earning 6th, Kamden Hunter (D4, 90, Middletown) taking 7th, and Kolby Williams (D4, 75, Monroe) finishing 8th. I am so proud of all of our wrestlers as they had the courage to step on the line and put it all on the line to battle with the best of Ohio. So much improvement has been made in their wrestling and I hope they see that, whatever their outcome was. They represented themselves, their parents, their club, their schools, and their coaches so well and that is all that we ever ask. Congrats to everyone on a great season! Now, we refocus and start working for our goals for next season! Preston Webb (FR, 100, Miamisburg) won the OAC Freshmen State Championship this weekend in Youngstown, Ohio. Preston went 5-0 with 3 pins on his way to the title. Congratulations on a Also placing for Prodigy were Carson Lipps (FR, 134, Little Miami) who was a runner-up and Nathan Metcalf (FR, 140, Dixie) who placed 3rd. Both of these wrestlers have been long time Prodigy wrestlers who trained as youth and continue to use Prodigy to get their extra work in high school. Congrats on a great season and tournament! Prodigy had 8 Freshmen competing at the OAC Freshmen State and all can be proud of their performances! These wrestlers have put in numerous hours at their schools, their youth clubs, at multiple clubs around the area in order to reach this goal. We want to congratulate each and every one of these wrestlers. Prodigy wants to especially recognize and encourage those who have used Prodigy Wrestling Academy as a resource to help them reach these goals. These wrestlers may have trained at Prodigy as a youth wrestler or a junior high wrestler. Wrestlers may have used Prodigy's LIVE wrestling during the season for competition. Some wrestlers may be part of Prodigy's Freestyle and Greco Training in the spring. No matter how or when they used Prodigy to help them reach their goals, we are glad they did and wish them the best of luck at the state tournament. If we missed anyone, please let us know. Prodigy has hundreds of wrestlers walking through their doors each year, so if someone was missed, we sincerely apologize. We are constantly updating our Prodigy Wall of Fame!
