Prodigy Wrestling was led by Kolby Williams and Easton Ballinger with their championship finishes at the 2024 OAC Divisional State Championships. Divisional State divides the wrestlers into their home schools size - small and large. Kolby Williams takes 1st place in the Large School Division (D3, 70, Monroe) and Easton Ballinger also takes first in the Large School Division (JH, 102, Edgewood. Both wrestled amazing tournaments against some of the toughest wrestlers in the state. Prodigy had a total of 15 OAC Divisional Placers taking 3rd as a team in the Large School Division. Also placing for Prodigy, in their respective divisions, were Rush Landis (2nd), Elijah Wineberg (2nd), Houston Adams (2nd) Garrett Plummer (2nd), Kolton Ross (2nd), Case Johnston (2nd), Reagan Hudson (2nd), Kamden Hunter (3rd), Graham Grahovac (3rd), Jason Wilkerson (3rd), Lincoln Elam (3rd), David Arens (4th), and Tyler Elliott (4th). Prodigy had 30 wrestlers represent Prodigy and we are proud of each and every one of them. They also represented their home schools with PRIDE! Back to the lab tomorrow to continue to improve for the OAC State Tournament in March!

Finn Lockerby Lead the way as Prodigy Wrestlers competed in the Ohio Novice State Championships. Wrestlers must fall under certain criteria to compete in the tournament, including less than 3 years of experience.
Finn (Edgewood) earned a Novice State Championship in Boys Division 5 at 68 pound. Finn met Prodigy teammate, Kaiden Hunter (Middletown), in the finals. Kaiden ends up as the 68 pound Novice State Runner-Up. Congratulations to both wrestlers! Mason Wireman (Kettering) in Division 3 at 60 pounds would take 4th place, while Kelton Smith (also Kettering) would take 5th in Division 3 at 50 pounds class. Graham Grahovak (Edgewood) takes 2nd at Div. 6, 65 pounds So proud of all of our wrestlers who stepped on the line to compete today. Weston Taylor (1-2), Owen Kairn (2-2), Seth Combs (1-2), and Brayden Lucarelli (3-2) all represented Prodigy, and themselves and families, well today! Prodigy Wrestlers continue to find ways to get to the state tournament. They did not disappoint as they stepped on the line to compete against some of the best in the state.
State Qualifiers for Prodigy include Elijah Wineberg (2nd), Robert Holley (2nd), Rush Landis (3rd), Finn Lockerby (3rd), Magnus Rajala (3rd), Mason King (4th), and Sofia Canan (4th). Every single wrestler from Prodigy, whether they placed or not, made me proud. They always give everything they have and that is all a coach ever wants from them, win or lose. Prodigy currently has 47 OAC State Qualifiers between Junior High and Grade School Wrestlers. What an amazing accomplishment by such hard working wrestlers! Congrats to all! Thank you parents for all that you do too! Prodigy Wrestling walked away with 3 OAC Junior High District Champions at the Harrison District this weekend. Henry Craiglow (Franklin) came away with a district title at 84 pounds. Carson Lipps (Little Miami) won his district championship at 114 pounds. Graham Moyer (Northmont) rounds out the champs with a title at 154 pounds.
Also securing their junior high State Qualifications were Jake Ryan (2nd), Liam Haynes (2nd), Gunner McDowell (2nd), Cole Wireman (3rd), Jett Manley (3rd), Lincoln Elam (4th), Trenton Justice (5th), Kellen Metcalf (6th), and Collin Berger (6th). Adding to the Qualifications is Tyler Elliott, a 6th grader, who qualified for state at 78 pounds at the Olentangy Liberty District by placing 4th. Prodigy currently has 47 State Qualifiers between Junior High and Grade School Wrestlers! We want to congratulate these wrestlers, as well as, all the wrestlers we have helped trained in the past that wrestle for their current schools/clubs. We are proud of each and ever one of you.
