​Junior High Club Wrestling Team

JH Team Prodigy WC will have its inaugural season in 2024-25. 

Prodigy Wrestling Academy is offering a Junior High Club Option for area wrestlers wanting to have the freedom to wrestle a schedule that is not limited to a certain number of matches and to continue wrestling high level competition.  Wrestlers will get a chance to wrestle and have the freedom to wrestle many local, state, and national level competitions to prepare for high school, while training with some of the best wrestlers and coaches in the state!  The ultimate goal is to train wrestlers to go to their home schools to be ready to make an impact at the high school level.

Cost of Training and JH Team Prodigy WC:

$500

• Covers 4 nights of training for 5 months (Nov. - Mar)
• Covers at least 4 Team Competition Entries
• Prodigy Power Strength Training 2 nights a week (0ptional)

Junior High Club Training Schedule

Monday: 6:30 - 8:30 pm with Team Prodigy WC
Tuesday: 7 - 8:30 pm with LIVE Wrestling Session
Wednesday:  7 - 8:30 pm with Napoli Training
Thursday:  6:30 - 8:30 pm with Team Prodigy WC

Team Prodigy WC Expectations

• Wrestlers are free to wrestle at any other events throughout the season, including wrestling for other club teams.   
• Wrestlers are expected to wrestle under Prodigy for OAC, OHWAY, and most National Level Events.
• Individual tournaments and National Level tournaments fees are the responsibility of the parents.

Post Season Tournament Representation
JH Team Prodigy WC Wrestlers are expected to represent Team Prodigy at the OAC and Oh-Way State Wrestling tournaments by wrestling under Prodigy Wrestling Academy.  Clubs are going to ask to switch your wrestlers for various reasons.  We ask that you respectfully decline to continue  to compete for Team Prodigy WC.  Team Prodigy Wrestlers need to be under Prodigy for OAC by February 1st.

Wrestle-Offs
We hope that the wrestlers that are part of the Junior high are spread out through the weights.  We will hold wrestle-offs on an as-needed basis.  We will work to enter as many extras as possible at team tournaments that we attend.

Please fill out this form if you have serious interest in training with and competing with the 24-25 Junior High Club Wrestling Team at Prodigy.

This is not an official registration but we will update you throughout the process of creating the team.

Important Club vs. School Team Rules:
*Wrestlers cannot bounce back and forth between their home schools and clubs during season.
*Once Wrestlers wrestle a scrimmage or match for their school, they cannot go a club meet and then go back to school.
*Wrestlers may wrestle club up until any part of the junior high school season and switch over (with their Junior High Coach's permission, of course)
*Wrestlers may train/practice with a club even if they are training and competing with their school junior high team.
