 Tytus Frahm, Springboro, toed the line the Tyrant Junior Ironman, a national level tournament, this weekend. Tytus earned a runner-up finish in the 8u 68 pound division. Awesome showing as he went against some of the best in the nation. Vince Black, 12u 110 pound, of Beavercreek, wrestled a great tournament, taking 4th place. So proud of our wrestlers taking on some of the best wrestlers around. Trust the process, keep working, and keep pushing to compete with the best!

 Rush Landis is going to have a BEAR of a season! He started off his season as champion in, not one, but two brackets at the Nuway The Bear in Gatlinburg, TN! Rush won the 9u 72 pound championship and the 9u 78 pound championship winning 7 matches in dominant fashion. Great Job, Rush! Keep Grinding! Also, competing at the Bear was Malachi Hundley. Malachi finished as runner-up up in the 13u 105 pound division. Great showing, Malachi! Keep working! Great seeing our wrestlers competing on a National level, pushing themselves to be their best!  Helena Rajala standing proud with her 4th place finish at Athena Nationals to start the 24-25 Season! Four girls from Team Prodigy WC competed at Athena Nationals this weekend and four girls came away as placers. They also came away with the D2 (4th-6th Grade) Team Champions title! Paisley Adams (Bellbrook) came away with a runner-up finish at 100 lbs. She was joined by Julianna Watts (Bellbrook) who also finished as a runner-up at the HWT. Division. Both led the team as finalists at their first competition of the season! Presley Adams (Bellbrook), part of the Dynamic Sister Duo, added a fourth place finish at the HWT division, while Helena Rajala (Beavercreek) also came away with a 4th place finish. What a great showing for the first tournament! With all four girls placing, they came away with winning the D2 (Grade 4-6) Title at Athena Nationals! Way to lead Prodigy into the first competition of the season. Now it is time to see if the boys can keep up at Barbarian Nationals! The Spatola Classic is known for its custom made shields given to the champions. Every wrestler wants to walk out with one of these by the end of the tournament. Its a great tournament with good competition. Four Team Prodigy WC members walked out with a shield this year and Team Prodigy WC had 12 placers. Champions and Receivers of the Shield were Rush Landis (8u, Springboro), Seth Combs (10u, Kettering), Garrett Plummer (10u, Springboro), and Elijah Wineberg (12u, Miamisburg). 8 More Team Prodigy WC members placed including Kelton Smith (8u, Kettering) 3rd, Roman Lowe (8u, Springboro) 2nd, Mason Wireman (10u, Kettering) 4th, Adler Olberding (10u, Little Miami) 2nd, Kolton Ross (12u, Mason) 2nd, Davide Keirne (12u, Carroll) 3rd, Kamden Hunter (10u, Middletown), and Oscar Horning (12u, Monroe). Garrett Plummer, after winning 10u, also wrestled up at 12u and took 4th! Please keep Kamden Hunter in your prayers today. Kamden suffered a severe injury during his finals match and we wish him a quick recovery. Congrats to all of the wrestlers who wrestled today. Prodigy Wrestling Academy wrestlers did an unbelievable job of of competing this weekend at the OHWAY State tournament. This weekend was the OHWAY Novice State, Junior High State, and High School State. Prodigy Wrestlers walked away with some well deserved hardware! What a weekend at the Grade school OAC State Championships. Prodigy Wrestlers wrestled tough and with true sportsmanship all weekend. There has been so much progress with the Team Prodigy WC this season (the first season) and we cannot wait to see what our upcoming seasons bring! Sofia Canan leads the way by earning another STATE CHAMPIONSHIP this weekend in the Girls D1 61 lbs. division. Sofia follows up her OHWAY State Championship from last weekend! Prodigy Ended with 10 Total Placers and took 8th overall in the team title race.
