Prodigy Wrestling Academy had a strong showing at the USA-Ohio Wrestling Freestyle and Greco-Roman State Tournament, bringing home multiple podium finishes across several age and weight divisions. Leading the team was Double Champ Odin Hembree, who dominated the 8U division by capturing first place in both Greco-Roman and Freestyle at 53 lbs. Davide Keirn was the greco-roman state champion at 135 pounds in the 12u division. Congrats to both state champions!
David Arens, Kolby Williams, and Malachi Hundley each earned runner-up honors, with Arens finishing second in the 12U Freestyle 70 lbs division, Williams finishing in the 12u Freestyle 82 lbs. division, and Hundley taking second in the 14U Freestyle 115 lbs division. Elijah Wineberg also made the podium, placing third in 14U Greco-Roman at 92 lbs and fifth in 14U Freestyle at the same weight. Kolton Ross placed sixth in 14U Freestyle at 105 lbs. While Bentley Canan, Foster Sanders, Kaden West, and Zach Ryan did not place in their respective freestyle divisions, the overall performance by Prodigy athletes showed depth and competitive spirit across both wrestling styles.
